that post doesnt really apply to a car that has a suspension built for 168mph stock
maybe for an SI or regular civic
WTH? That post has ZERO mention of suspension considerations. Subjecting a car to consistent speeds well over 100mph should require drivetrain prep and maintenance. Checking and replacing fluids before, between, and after would be appropriate.

At some point I probably will. Here's the path thus far, even though you haven't asked

1978 Grand Prix - 6cyl/AT dash entirely dead, v6 automatic was a dog but served A-to-B well enough
1985 Bonneville Brougham - 8cyl/AT everything worked, v8 automatic, a boat that could peel out between gas station visits (overlapped with below)
1984 Camaro Z28 - 8cyl/AT my first modded car, 5.0 H.O. TH350 trans with high stall shift kit, Holley 650 dbl pmp, I/H/E, 3.73 posi - a fast pain in the ass
1985 Cherokee Chief - 4cyl/MT my first manual, 2.5l 5 speed, remarkably durable and capable off roader - so much off roading
1994 Escort LX - 4cyl/AT - cheap, reliable, tossable, slow but handled like it was on rails, parking brake slides were scary predictable
2002 Protege ES - 4cyl/AT - modded with T3/.60 and grenaded 2 months later racing a friends boxster
2005 350Z - 6cyl/MT - beautiful and engaging to drive, but also impractical, heavy, and slow. Everyone loved it except me (overlapped with below)
2002 WRX - 4cyl/MT - reliable as hell, modded extensively 300whp from 40k-110k miles, then 450whp till 195k, stock block - sold to my brother (still get seat time)
2002 Z06 - 8cyl/MT - light, fast, cheap to insure, astoundingly good mpg, sold for more than I paid for it 2 years later (overlapped with above)
2011 EvoX GSR - 4 cyl/MT - essentially the best of both worlds from the WRX and Z06, modded to 450whp, sold for more than I owed 3 years later (overlapped with below)
2012 Cooper S - 4cyl/MT - burger tuned, tossable fun, good on gas, but needed more room when I bought a dog
2013 Clubman S - 4cyl/MT - burger tuned, slightly larger to fit dog, unreliable (2 ECU's, 2 sets of coils).... but wife/kids happened so the mini had to go
2005 Civic LX coupe - 4cyl/MT - stock, reliable as hell, 40mpg forever (overlapped with above)
bringing me to.... the current cars
17 Civic SI - 4cyl/MT so far so good, peppy, but far from fast
17 Traverse - 6cyl/AT fits the whole family and our stuff

More than half of those cars ran open exhausts, big fan of modding intelligently. I've blown 2 engines, 1 transmission, and 3 rear differentials. I'm sure at some point I will wind up owning a hybrid, hell possibly a prius. But it won't be anytime soon.

I paid msrp no accessories. I am just telling the truth how the car drives , no need to be insulting forum members. One day you might drive one and you will see. Good luck moding your 1.5t it will never compete against a CTR.

I have driven the CTR, my buddy Brian has one. It is nice but overpriced even at MSRP. I have owned several cars which were faster. I had a c5z06 and 450whp EvoX which I grew tired of and sold. But of all my past cars....one was kept close. I sold the best of them to my younger brother and that old 2002 WRX with EFR7163 turbo on the stock EJ205 puts down 450whp. It will run away from a CTR on the highway and of course from a dig.

are you a millennial baby, you act like one?
Wow way to butcher sentance structure. In any case....
Your posts seem awful aggressive and overbearingly confident.
Are you trying to compensate for something?

A Type R has only 8% more torque and 11% greater power to weight ratio than a stock Si with nothing but a $500 Ktuner and a basemap. The Si enjoys this level of performance while also having heated seats, a sunroof, is 10-15 grand cheaper, and is 228 pounds lighter than the CTR. Even when tuned the Si still gets over 40mpg(CTR gets 22-28).

In terms of raw track performance at the expense of everything else the CTR is great. But in a competition where performance, comfort, and practicality are all taken into consideration it's simply no contest which car is the better buy.

My $0.02.
