Anyone running the TSP tune with the PRL race intake? How you like it?

I'll tell you what guys. This blistering, steamy weather has been great on my mpgs. I've learned over the years to not push things much when humidity and ambients are 90+. On my last 1,000 or so miles I've been averaging nearly 42mpg. And with those crazy high economy numbers it's awesome knowing I have the power of TSP 1 when I need it. These cars tuned are crazy good all around!

I got a KTuner with the TSP tune this week, and am really impressed with the difference. However, it seems like map 3 is too much for the OEM suspension. I have Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires and on dry pavement I can get traction control to activate at WOT at around 25-30 mph. At high rpm, the car sometimes feels squirrelly like it's not fully putting down the power and I have to fight the steering wheel to get it to go where I want it to go. I've experienced torque steer in a 2005 Mini Cooper S and this doesn't seem like it. I'm guessing a STB and new springs would help with this?

Advanced VSA and boost by gear are your friend. Try setting BBG to 16psi in first with the medium VSA setting. See if that helps.

Hey gtman could you comment how much advanced VSA help with WOT from dead stop? Do you see significant improvement in 0-100 times with TSP tune?

my Ktuner ECU is not yet supported for advanced VSA.

The TSP tune has a different feel compared to an aggressive KTuner 21. Power is more skewed toward the top end.

I actually don't use A-VSA but the medium setting is a good starting point. Your choice of settings depends a bit on your tires and your driving style.

Another one of those moments that put a smile on my face out there on the highway today. Some guy in a Infinity QX50 was weaving in and out of traffic behind me. He then decided to tailgate me inching closer and closer in an effort to intimidate me.

After a couple minutes of that nonsense I put my foot into it when I saw no traffic ahead of us. It's such a great feeling being able to do that and see these drivers of much more expensive cars try (but fail) to keep up. Priceless.

I love my TSP tuned car.

Went with Derek's custom tune, and guys, save money for it, it's worth every penny!
I have now the lower rpm pull like on KTuner 21 and the higher from TSP map 3.

This is a whole new level :)
