UPDATE #1:
I got my 2016 Honda Civic EX-T new off the showroom floor. Sadly in Indonesia, they're only available in automatic transmission, which is a bummer as I was looking to build a fun reliable daily/street car.
Anyways, right off the bat, I knew that this car had way too much chrome on it so I went ahead and wrapped the window trim and grille gloss black. While I was at it I threw on some new wheels. (Specs above)
UPDATE #2:
I passed by a Type R today at a car meet and I saw that the tail lights on the R and the Hatchback had black "side walls" instead of red like on the sedan, I decided to have mine tinted to mimic them. Below is the result, the top is how the stock lights look and below is after I got them semi-tinted.
UPDATE #3:
Finally pulled the trigger on getting a fully custom aero kit made. I based this on some Type R parts, existing diffusers, and spoilers. I ended up blending all those elements together to make this aero set. The process started with the shop making clay models of the parts and casting them in fiberglass before finally slinging on some Bondo and paint. Really glad with how it came out.
