I think it’s more about the weight of the flywheel than anything. A heavier SMF should be fine, and you can still save a fair bit of weight off the OEM dual mass.
I would've thought so, but I'd gotten feedback from one owner of the Clutchmasters SMF that he has a bit of "transmission noise" at low RPM's. Their SMF is ~17 lbs, which is about the same as the Type R SMF. Not sure if the noise he's hearing is truly gear lash, or just clutch chatter from the FX350?

SPEC has steel SMF units in production. Not sure what the exact weight will end up being.

What's your opinion on running a spec 3+ on stock DMF? I need something streetable and lasting asap. It holds 370tq- more than I will make.

I’d trust it over a Clutchmasters setup. There are few other brands such as Action Clutch that I do not know much about.

Still no word on their steel mass flywheel?? Have this bonus check burning a hole in my pocket.
You and me both.. dying to utilize that 327lbs of torque with their stage 2. :drive:Still blows my mind that we now have an Si that makes that much torque with bolt ons and from a 1.5L while still achieving 40mpg hwy

It's a beautiful thing, isn't it? Also the ability to run 11's with slicks with just bolt on's and a drop in turbo upgrade.
