Any word on a lightweight single mass flywheel from SPEC? I was going to pull the trigger on a Group Buy for a Clutchmasters FX350 & Single Mass flywheel, but there's a lot of poor feedback on the FX350 and only one member that I'm aware of with their single mass flywheel.

We actually are scheduled to visit the SPEC shop on next week for an install of their SMF and a clutch kit while they do further R&D on the vehicle for future product offerings. We will be sure to update everyone afterwards.

Can’t say I know much about this brand. How do they compare to Clutchmaster, Exedy, etc?

They don't do as much OEM stuff as eXedy, if that matters. I think it is at least as nicely built as CM. Maybe even ACT. Not as nice as, say, an OS Giken or something exotic and pricey. IMHO

Ditto!! This is the one I want, too. Perfect clutch for this car, on paper at least. This matches my goals exactly.
PM'd! Thanks

I wish that Exedy would just release their Tyoe R configuration for the SI. I wonder if their clutch uses bigger springs to negate the gear lash noise from their single mass flywheel. Some Google research seems to indicate that it's the only way to avoid the noise

I think it’s more about the weight of the flywheel than anything. A heavier SMF should be fine, and you can still save a fair bit of weight off the OEM dual mass.

Do they make a heavier SMF? I’ve only seen aluminum
