Welp long time no update. With the world going crazy and all tracks closed I kind of just forgot about modding it. With OnGrid hosting Thunderhill East bypass on 5/24 I finally get to go try out all of my latest changes. Supposed to be 91 degrees so I’m hoping that changes for the better, if nothing else it’ll be a good test of my changes.

Speaking of which I just ordered two 295/30/18 Advan A052 tires to try getting a little more clearance with this front setup. Also got the final version of my hood vents done. This was the last test fit we actually made them about 1/2” narrower so there is no paint showing. These should really help the vented hood get heat out of the engine bay... I hope.

I was really on the fence about these 295 fronts but after watching the last Best Motoring tuned CTRs vs Nismo GTR all 3 (Spoon, Seeker & J’s racing) are using a 295 front. I’m going to make it work. Also check out that video it’s pretty good! Plus look at all that meat

Is there a way to watch that video? I wasn't able to find it on YouTube. Did you end up getting your hood painted? Looks clean!

Thank you I did get it painted!

it’s under the best motoring channel on YouTube but you have to pay $6.99/ month for their premium content.

I already forgot their name I’d have to look it up lol! VIP collision

Vents look good as do those thiqq tires. And damn, I was hoping that Hot-Version video was free. I've been looking for any content of theirs on CTRs. Is paying to become a member worth it? All videos have english subs?
thank ya, I’m excited to try them out!

To be honest I just signed up today. Buddy posted that video and I really wanted to see it so I signed up. Been busy since but it looks promising.

I’m so glad I decided to roll the dice on a 295/30/18 to replace the 295/35/18. It solved my rubbing issues! All ready for my track day on 5/24 now!

Hmmm let’s see. Right now it says it should be 84 degrees that day.
As for power mods just hondata base map and PRL catted DP, FP right now.

For cooling I have
- Seibon vented hood (hood scoop vents will be done by then too)
- HKS oil cooler
- 2020 OEM CTR radiator
- eBay open grill
- heat wrapped FP/ DP
- gold heat wrap all over the oil pan and main water line behind the turbo
- water wetter added for whatever it’s worth
- on the track day remove fog light/ side grill for max flow to oil cooler

I’m hoping to get 2-3 hot laps at least for that temp and track. Hopefully more but I’d be very happy with 3 hot laps
