When I was the OP's age back in 1987 I got caught racing another car. I was clocked doing 80 MPH in a 40 MPH zone. I got my license suspended for a month.

I've gone 180 on a 55mph never been caught. Now I do terminal speeds outside the USA. Just not worth the financial risk.
