Hello all,

After almost 2 years of amazing driving experience with my beloved Si, I traded her in for a BMW 340i.

My contact at the dealership called me directly to tell me about it and I came in for a test drive after Christmas. He gave me a really great deal and trade in value for the Si that I couldn't say no.

It's a 2017 340i M Sport with the track and handling package with Saddle Brown leather interior. After I test drove it, I was blown away by the B58 engine paired with the ZF transmission. Best of all, the car only has 19k original miles!

I'll still be lurking around and helping when I can as I love this community. Good luck to everyone here and happy modding to you all!

A manual in that blue would be quite the treat!

Thank you. So far if anything, I will change the Supersport run flats that came with it to improve the ride. Other than than, since the power is such a step up from the Si, I think I will be very content even with stock power for a bit.

Absolutely! Manuals in the M Sport trim are very rare. I tell you though, that ZF is pretty darn good. I will definitely miss rowing my own gears though, that's for sure.

That's awesome, congrats! We should get together and start a CivicX alumni group!

I've found BMWs to be interesting... Is the 340i M Sport the same as M340i on the website? Never really understood their naming / trims.

OP has an F30 chassis. With the new G series they added the M in front. But it’s basically the same idea as the 340i with M Sport was.

Thank you all. @amirza786 if we start a CivicX alumni group, it will be you, me surrounded by Type R's haha. It definitely crossed my mind to upgrade to a Type R as well.

Beautiful car, congrats. Curious, do you know what simple maintenance service like oil changes costs on a car like that?

Thank you. My local BMW dealer charges $150 for an oil change. But, there are indy BMW shops around town that does it for about $70 - $80. I will of course personally do oil changes myself. The recommended oil change interval of 10k miles doesn't sit well with me so I plan on changing the oil around 5k miles just to be safe.

I hope you plan to spend more time at the repair garage , now that you bought a BMW.

I hope not. Based on all my research, it sounds like the B58 engine is actually quite reliable. So far, others with the B58 motor have not been reporting any issues so hopefully it will be the same for me.
