I traded my Civic X for a CPO 2017 Mazda 6 Touring. This was a great forum and I had a great time while it lasted. I'll still check in once in a while to see what's going on here. Why did you decide on the switch?

Yes, you can't leave without an explanation haha! Seriously though, would be nice to know if you left unhappy with the 10th Gen. And if so, why?

The clutch and shifted in the Civic X SUUUCK, and my clutch was slipping because of my ECU reflash. I wanted a more solid feeling car with a nicer interior too. I've liked the Mazda brand for a while, and the 6 drives pretty damn well for a bigger car.

Nice choice. I'd prefer Mazda6 over the Mazda3.

What made you switch? To me, CivicX and Mazda6 are rather close in terms of performance and size (Civic with bigger trunk, Mazda6 with more passenger space and bigger footprint).

The Mazda 6 definitely has more trunk space

Civic - 15.1 cubic feet
Mazda6 - 14.8 cubic feet
Wow I didn't know that. The 6's trunk isn't as tall as the Hondas but it is for sure longer.

:) I wasn't trying to rain on your parade or anything. I do like the Mazda6 in the midsize segment since it isn't as bloated as the competition. I might have gotten it if I started car shopping a bit later. Right now I see the Mazda6 getting discounted by like $4000 in my area!

How's NVH in your new car? That has always been the downside of Mazda vehicles.

Haha yeah I understand. I got mine CPO with 8k miles for $17500. It's a Touring model. The NVH seems similar to the Civic.

It's not just about speed lol. The Mazda honestly feels more engaging and it feels much better built.

The reason for the discount is because the mid cycle refresh for 2018.
