I have always thought that the SI exhaust system is quite
efficient except for the down pipe. I find the original sound
rather harmonious.
I changed my down pipe to get more torque and hp.
The sound has remained the same but a little amplified
and always pleasant. No drone.
I have discussed this several times with Amirza.
What downpipe did you install to get the stockish sound?

Look into the Yonaka if you have a coupe... Gives you the 3 tip style, is very affordable and from what I've heard (a guy who installed it sent me videos), it's a nice deep tone that is about a 6-7/10 loudness compared to 4/10 stock with no rasp. They have a 50$ off sale right now so it's only $399. Mine will be here Monday and I'll be installing Wednesday and I plan to do some comparison videos between stock vs Yonaka.
Which website is it on for 399$?
Can you post the videos that you got please !

Did you happen to change the front pipe as well? If not, do you have any plans to?

Like you, I like the stock sound. However, I was planning to do the down pipe and front pipe.

Anyone here know what the pipe size before the HDMI tip? Planning to change it to these carbon fiber 4-head tips.

I believe it's 2.5". If you buy a 2.5" tip it should work, a muffler shop can adapt it easily. Just make sure it's not to heavy for the stock hangers

I must point out that this is the street version, so it is catalysed.
I bought it at the beginning of 2018 from Procivic.
She was at a special price.
The only problem is to remove the original one.
Good luck with the 2 studs nuts and the 2 screws.
We do it with patience and a lot of loose nut liquid.

Thanks brother! I just hope that the length of the tips are not long enough to cut beyond the stock hangers coz if it's lower it will definitely stuck way out of the bumpers. I better do some measuring to be sure of it.

No problem! A muffler shop would be able to adjust it by either adding some pipe or cutting

Just change the tip if you can. As I said at the beginning of this thread, most people find that the sound from performance exhausts starts to get old. Every time I had passengers, they would always mention how loud my car sounded
Which exhaust was installed on the civic to be so "loud"? any resonator/mufflers delete?!

It was an aFe Takeda Cat-back Stainless Steel 3" Performance exhaust, no resonator. I first added a baffled glasspack where the resonator used to be, but this did not do the job, I then added a Vibrant Ultra quiet 3" resonator, which took care of 50 percent of the drone, but did not completely eliminate it

Thanks for the info;
So you thing that an Invidia Gemini R400 with resonator could be better than a Greddy SP without resonator? (for the drone)

This is the route I'm probably going to go, love the 3 tip look.
