Glove Box Light

Any of you folks have try to wire a LED strip to the existing wire connection in our 10Gen Civic HB glove box? I have some strips laying around and would like to learn some info before tackle this project? Basically I'm gonna solder the strips wires into the glove box wires if they exist.

It's light and sensor activated and you can't see it mounted at the top of the glove box. The light looks really nice too.

I did, and I connected it to the driver's side map light along with the rest of my strips. Almost need sunscreen in my car now

It's light and sensor activated and you can't see it mounted at the top of the glove box. The light looks really nice too.

I bought those and they didn't even light up.

I wound up getting these and they work great. Nice and bright.

Oh that's strange could be a bad one you got but it's light and sensor activated so it wont turn on unless it's dark enough in addition to the sensor. Sometimes it turns on if my car is dark enough during the day but it always turns on at night for me.

I was creeping on this thread for a few days, and couldn't find an LED light bar on Amazon I was looking for, and as I'm a pretty impatient person once my mind is made up I drove over to Lowe's and picked up a battery powered motion sensing LED light bar for about $13!

It's pretty thick, but fits discreetly on the roof of the glove box held on by 3M tape (included), and shines very bright. The motion sensing works like a charm, and turns off in 30s. Plus, it came with it's own batteries...

I saw on another thread some guy saying he was wiring a light to turn on when he turns on his map lights or something. Look, I'm not that savvy for all that craziness, and this is a perfect alternative.

Couldn't be happier.
