If not tracking the car at all/very seldom, isn't maintenance overkill to have the new 2 piece rotors? I'm thinking those connecting screws would need to be checked/screwed more often(than the regular maintenance interval).
What do you think?

AP racing make excellent stuff but seems they are significantly more expensive. In Canada the Girodisc rotors are not much more than 1/2 the price of what Honda wants for a new OEM Brembo 2020 rotor. Can't imagine ever buying the OEM rotor for replacement.

One thing I’m curious about is whether you’ll be able to buy the individual ring from Honda. I’ve checked the oem sites and it doesn’t look like the outer ring is available alone. Correct me if I’m wrong please.

Can only speak on Gyrodiscs, but have not experienced any of the super annoying rock/brake dust getting stuck between the rotors and dust shield I was getting every 2-3 weeks with the stock rotors.

Beyond the increased performance, this is worth the cost of upgrading.

Guys/Gals - Was just doing some price checking and found this:

https://www.tegiwaimports.com/genuine-honda-2-piece-floating-front-brake-discs-civic-type-r-fk8.html

https://www.tegiwaimports.com/search/?q=45251-TGH-A01+&cat=

Not sure if this is legit but, if so, this is a great price (~$350/pair) for OEM 2020. Not as good as the Lings price from earlier this year but still way better than US prices.
Thinking of placing an order for these, not a bad price at all.

With my Enkei RPF1, I have lost a lot of weight but want even more (less).
I have not NEEDED more brake in my AutoX and time attack events. I am starting a new Mountan series myself and I suspect the downhill will be showing the need.

Probably Giro - They seem to be the best value currently.

Check out the paragon rotors. They’re a bit lighter than the giro

I had a question for Girodisc people. How much work is it to replace the ring? I’m guessing you have to torque the many bolts to the right amount and in the right order? Do you need to safety wire them?

Want to let folks know that I placed an order for 2020 rotors with Tegiwa last Thursday (along with a few other OEM parts) and arrived at my door by Monday. Everything came packaged well. Would definitely recommend. Now I just need to decide on what pads to go with lol.

What pad do you guys use for girodisc??
How well oem pad hold up with girodisc?
Is it better or too soft for the rotor?
