I've filled up my car 6 times since I've got it , 3 of the 6 times filling it up the gas pump got stuck and I took almost 10 mins of wiggling , pulling on it to get it loose / out. Yes... I do know about the waiting 5 seconds and hear that click . One of the times it got stuck I had to pump in approx $1.xx amount and then waited 5 sec. And then I heard the click and I was able to take out the pump with no problem . Has this happened often to other members / owners " I'd it has is there a specific technique to remove the pump ?

I haven't experienced that. Was it the same station/pump each time it got stuck?

Sounds like the spring on the nozzle got pushed into the filler hole, you should make sure the spring does not go into the filler hole only the smooth part of the nozzle should be inserted.

Hasn't happened to me but I could easily see if you inserted the nozzle too far or the spring portion that it may become difficult to remove.

Just had this happen to me today. Additionally, it overfilled my tank and gas leaked all over the side of my car...which is the whole thing I was trying to avoid by making sure the nozzle was in far enough.

New guy here but this happened to me a few days ago at the local Sams Club and I managed to get the nozzle out after a few minutes of cursing, twisting, and pulling. I noticed when I finally got the damn thing out that the of tip of this particular nozzle was loose creating a sort of gap between the tip and the rest of the nozzle. Needless to say I'm going to inspect the tip of every nozzle I use from now on.

Had this happen to me a few days ago (third day of owning the car). Sad it wasn't caught during testing. Scary to have it happen while out of state in an unfamiliar area. Fuel spilled out of the spout, too. Looks like paying extra attention to which nozzles you use will be important.

Don't jamb it in so far. I haven't had one issue with that at all. You only have to have the nozzle in like 2-3 inches. It's not gonna fall out..

For me this was at a pump that required the nozzle to be pushed in far enough to cause a little seal to press up against the top of the tank's spout in order to make the pump work. I was back a few days later and used a different pump that time. I checked the previous nozzle out as well as the new one. Nothing suspicious about either (other than this weird seal/pressure sensitive thing to enable the pump). The second time I only put the nozzle in a bit then held the pressure seal back with my fingers to enable the pump. I was worried it might not auto stop correctly but it did fine. No issues removing it. I was out of my home state (traveling in California). This was the only station I filled up in while there, so I'm not sure if that type of nozzle is typical there or just a weird station. It's certainly different from what I typically see at home. It looked something like this:

Guys. This happened to me just the other day. It was not issue. Push in and pull up, twist right and then pull out, no yanking was required.

Yes it happened to me once and it was my first time filling, but when I tried to take the nozzle, fuel was spilled on the side of my car and even the wheels. I still need to figure out exactly why it happened because I just put the nozzle in just like I would do in any other car, but something like has never happened to me before.

Had a stuck gas nozzle at Costco for the first time tonight, attendant and store manager both had never seen this happen before, none of us knew what to do. I was somewhat panicked. Somehow, after several minutes it eventually released. So far, have mixed feeling about capless.

I was told that a TSB will be out for this soon. Costco has the long spring type. I just make sure I don't put it in that far.
