Just an FYI for those of you that have the Ktuner TSP Stage 1 tune installed and you re-flashed to stock to take your cars in to the dealer for the oil dilution recall. According to TSP, when you flash back to the TSP stage 1 tune, none of Honda's updates are overwritten. Here is the response directly from TSP regarding re-flashing after the Honda software update:

Thanks for that info, how about for the Ktuner maps, when you reflash after the oil dilution update will the Ktuner maps overwrite Honda’s changes? Thanks and sorry if this has been addressed in a different post.

That I don't know, possibly @KTuner can answer that question

Does this oil dilution problem apply to the 2019 model?

Is this update for all civics? Or are these campaigns for certain vins. Last time i was at the dealer advisor said no recalls.

It depends where you're located. The recall is for cold-weather states.

The answer is no, and also the recall affects areas with cold climates. California has no such thing, thank God. Weather is king here!

I thought house prices, taxes, insurance and traffic were king in California?

Update I sniffed around the recall is only for cold weather states. Also you need to email Ktuner before you reflash after the Honda update, I guess they have a procedure you use so you don’t lose the Honda updates when you reflash with Ktuner.

I wonder if Honda could not change the injectors strength (not with just the software to the ECU) by physically swapping out to not so powerful injectors and still be around the MPG they are quoting to consumers at sale? Would that help the dilution issue?
