i had an e36 m3 way back in the day that had that tire size(if i remember correctly). so my guess is that for one.
Solid guess. I look at E36 M3 all the time!

The one I’m putting 245/40/17 on is a new car though. This clue might make it too easy?

Do you mean 255/35/19 currently clears but not much room to spare? If so, 255/35/20 needs an extra 0.5 inch of clearance.
I’m just saying that my 2019 Type R on TSW Interlagos ET41 19”x9.5” wheels with 255/35-19 Goodyear Eagle Exhilirate tires and Eibach Pro lowering springs doesn’t rub at all, never has, even fully loaded, turns included.

Nice flush tuck but hindsight is 265 might have been ok or possibly slight rub/bump on front cornering light tabs. Might consider 265/30-19 in the future or stick w/35 series ad deal with possible interference. I’ve not precisely measured gap to spare other than static & straight to fender.

Also anything wider could Increase need for camber arms. Rear top out a little now but rotate often to prevent uneven wear.

maybe the new gr86?
This group is impressive! BRZ incoming. While I prefer the GR86, it was too much of a hassle as I couldn’t find a reliable point of contact so I went with the Subaru twin.

1 of 2 known now (will share more when I get the BRZ in a few weeks)

Any guess of the second addition? All 3 digits are the same in BHP. If I mention the HP number, it will give it away.

Ha, I learned something new myself as I didn’t know 993 has 333 bhp.:)

Some day, I’d like to add an aircooled Porsche. Not this round though.

More power! I did some Google searches myself and glad that it’s not the top results.;)

And just picked this up tonight. I figure there will be plenty of Civic Type R downtime in the future (4piston engine, turbo, etc). Need something to play with in the rain and winter!

Incredible collection of cars. Glad they all get driven.
Thanks! I did some estimating a while ago. It was enlightening and I almost felt a bit sad. To me, I get the most out of these cars hy driving them as much as I can.

Even with generous estimates on health/physical conditions/mental interest, I figure none of my cars will cross the 100k miles mark. So, I stopped worrying about miles and focus on finding time & opportunities to drive. Life truly is short so enjoying every moment is key.
