Sheeeeeit. My 2019 R definitely falls within the scope of this recall. Boy does that suck.

Weird. My car has an 11/18 date but mentions no recalls... so I guess I'm safe for now...

You can check by VIN or click on "Vehicle" to check this way on the https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls site.

Adding additional info:

When checked by Vehicle, I got:
1 Recalls for 2019 HONDA CIVIC SI

FILTER Recalls BY AFFECTED COMPONENTS
All (1) FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE (1)

May 28, 2020 NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V314000
Fuel Pump May Fail

If the fuel pump fails, the engine can stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When I checked by VIN, I got:

0 Unrepaired Recalls associated with this VIN

What if my car isn't recalled now? Could it be recalled later?

Yes. Whether a manufacturer independently conducts a safety recall or NHTSA orders one, the manufacturer must file a public report describing the safety-related defect or noncompliance. Manufacturers are also required to notify owners by mail within 60 days of notifying NHTSA of a recall decision.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, it still can be recalled. It's been only 11 days so far ("May 28, 2020") & Honda has "60 days" to notify owners.
yes, same for my 2019 civic SI sedan.

yes, same for my 2019 civic SI sedan.
The 17045-TBA-A00 fuel pump is used in all 2016-2019 Civic sedans and coupes with the 1.5L engine (except Si) and all 2017-2020 hatchbacks (except Type R).

The 2017-2019 Civic Si uses a 17045-TBF-A00 fuel pump which is NOT recalled at this time. The 2020 Civic Si uses a 17045-TBF-A01 fuel pump which is also NOT recalled at this time.

The Civic Si does NOT use one of the fuel pumps being recalled.

I bought mine a little after 2018 so have a 2018 HB model.
I am surprised 18+ (2 years after the flagship) and, more issues are coming up from OOB.
I intentionally got 3 years later; in hopes to allow Honda to capture any major recalls.

doh! Glad I didn't bother even thinking of going for a 2019 right after; as it still seem to exist. Interesting how 17 has been more stable. Either way, if its a recall... just take it to the dealer and get it repaired/replaced for free.

This isn’t a Honda issue. It’s a denso one. They made the pumps. If your bathroom breaks, is it the house’s fault or American standard who made the toilet?

my 2018 Bmw 240i convertible hasn’t had any issues or recalls yet
Just like my 2018 civic. No recalls so far.
No issues too, except It might now be starting to have an AC issue.

I guess luckily your 2018 BMW was not included in the dashboard lighting recall which "can increase the risk of a crash" :p

Recall Number
17V719000
Recall Date
11/15/2017
Component
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT PANEL
Summary
BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2018 230i, 230i xDrive, M240i, M240i xDrive, M2, and X3 xDrive 30i SAV vehicles. These vehicles may have an error in the software for the instrument panel, causing the display to not properly illuminate. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, "Control and Displays."

Consequence
If the display does not illuminate during start up or does not illuminate various control and warning symbols while driving, it can increase the risk of a crash.
