Fuel economy accuracy?

Interesting that the majority seem to be calibrated to err on the side of making the car look better. Has anybody found a way to tweak the calibration through the service panels or through other means?

Only filled up twice so far but my first tank came out almost 1mpg better than displayed. 2nd was just about accurate. Pretty sure I checked my speedo against gps test on my phone and I think they were pretty close. My 13 accord was always right around the display in the beginning but I quit keeping track after a while.

aFCD over-reports by 2.7%. Odometer under-reports by 1.5%.

/Odometer error should diminish as the tires wear.
