Fuel Corrections; cylinder fuel trim

What exactly is this used for? I can't seem to find much info on it.

You can use it for overall correction as well as individual cylinder correction if you're trying to dial in cylinder by cylinder.

So let's say everything in logs are ok
except misfires (which in my case 3rd cyl goes up to 10 or 15 and all others do not exceed 2 in any case)
and visual check of plugs shows the exact matter of 3rd running lean and 1st nice and happy
(and AFR 10.8-11.1 is achieved at all times targeting 11.2 with minor maf adjustments)

could this trim assist ?

10 or 15 isn't indicative of an issue. You can surely use fuel trims to richen one cylinder.
