I figured that now. jhpusa.com has this listed this part number(17666-TGG-A01) claiming that it will fit all three models so I assumed when I went to the dealer that this will fit. 17666-TBG-a01 is the right part for my coupe even then the tech said that it will not fit the 2017 model and claimed that its only for 2018+.

I can confirm that it fits the 2017 coupe. For some reason Honda doesnt have it in their parts system that it is for 2017+. I think this is just a mistake that was never fixed.

Also, the “Premium unleaded fuel recommended” sticker does not come with it. I need to hunt down that sticker in the parts catalog eventually.

This thing snaps right in with ease. Could not be easier to install, and anyone who doesn’t have this for the early model civic needs to get it. If they don’t have it, I guarantee you are getting a small amount of water in your gas tank.
