Not to divert from the original post, but a small dent like that can be repair by a dent company for $100 or less.

The hood is made out of aluminum and it cost more to fix than steel, I’ve called multiple places and they all say the same

Our PDR department can get it out in less than 10 minutes.

You are probably right but what am I gonna do drive all the way to your neck of the woods from Colorado? This is what I was told from every PDR ship in the Denver metro area

Don't look for shops. Look for a mobile dent guy from craigslist or something.
