I purchased a pair of Hertz DCX 87.3 Coaxial 3.5 inch speakers for the center dash in my 2020 Civic SI Coupe
and am selling the second speaker. The speaker comes with the Metra 72-7800 Honda Speaker Harness.

I installed the other one as well as replaced the stock door tweeters with Hertz DT 24.3 tweeters. I am running the stock head unit (Premium Audio) without any modifications.

Does this speaker require the foam cup thing/any other parts and/or modifications? I have the JL equivalent sitting in a box but want to go with the Hertz tweeters as well and my OCD is telling me to get the matching center speaker and flip the JL...

I did not use a foam baffle as my local audio store did not think it was necessary. However, I have read posts where forum members have used one. To make the speaker fit flush under the dash speaker grill, I cut a little of the plastic tab connecting the round speaker opening and the screw mount and used some foam tape around the opening. It fits nicely in my opinion.

Installation is plug and play. I had to slightly modify the mount under the grill as I described above. There are some threads explaining the procedure. No need to have a shop do the installation, especially if you have the Metra harness adapter.
