To the FK8 Civic Type R Community:
We have for sale what we believe to be the holy-grail wheel and sizing combo for the FK8 Civic Type R Platform - #systemspec Volk TE37SL in 18x9.5 +45, 5x120 Concave Face. We have been working very closely with Rays directly for years, and have sold hundreds of sets of these wheels alone to the FK8 Type R community. This set is special, in that it exhibits a concave GTR face profile; incredibly rare for a wheel in this width/offset combo.
This spec is our exclusive shop spec, and there is no other sizing quite like it. These came in as part of our batch order, and took about ~6+ months for them to finally arrive from Japan.
Wheel Model:
Visually, what you see is what you get, these are truly concave. These share the highly coveted concave face, dubbed the GTR concave face. It is the same deep concavity found on sizes such as the 18x9.5 +38, and even has the same lip size! Visually, these wheels are 100% identical to the +38 offset counterpart. The best part? No rubbing even with a 265-sized tire, while lowered!
For those who are not familiar with this model of TE37, it shares the same "mold" as the OG TE37, which was discontinued back in 2018. Maintaining a highly classic profile and look to it, the TE37SL looks nearly identical to the TE37 OG, AND it's lighter + stronger. These are the same wheels used in pro-tier competition and racing. One of the most noticeable and sought after aspects of these wheels are its concave face. Prior to us procuring this size exclusively for the Type R market, it was not possible to achieve this level of concavity at these widths and offsets. Normal catalog specs would have produced this wheel in a "flat-face" configuration, though in our opinion it is not visually appealing. However, thanks to countless hours of research and R&D/measurements, we were able to help make this concave face possible for the community, while maintaining strut clearance and brake clearance (very important)!
Note: We are responsible for the procurement of a handful of other sizes as well - All maintaining the highly sought-after concave face profile. Many of our sizes are not widely distributed and they are not your average run-of-the-mill sizing.

Centerbore:
72.56 - Fits many BMWs as well, though large enough to still accommodate the OEM FK8 Type R hub. Hubrings are recommended but not necessary when equipped on the FK8 Type R, as wheels are lug-centric!
Fitment:
Perfect fitment for OEM Height FK8 Type R's, or those lowered on springs (Eibach/Swift/Spoon/etc). These will also work for those who plan to go the coilover route - Our shop Type R is equipped with coilovers, and as with many of the sizes/products that we sell, we have tested them personally ourselves as well! This fitment is ideal for those who enjoy spirited drives in their cars and on occasion like to take their cars to the track. This is a true bolt-on affair size - No rubbing at all even up to a 265/35 or 265/40 tire! Buy with confidence!
Technical specs:
The TE37SL model has ditched the center-cap design and opted to go centercap-less to achieve additional weight savings, however; we can source centercap adapters + centercaps for you if this is the route you chose to go. You will also need aftermarket conical tuner lugnuts to fit these on your FK8 (Most aftermarket wheels will not accommodate OEM FK8 Type R lugnuts as they are simply too big. Inquire with us directly if you are concerned about lugnut compatibility, we can help!). These wheels are forged monoblock 1-piece, and weigh in at around ~18lbs per wheel. Very light!
