Got the rotors replaced with oems along with the pads (GLOC r10).

More noobie questions though: why do the endurance pads have a much smaller surface area than the oem pads? Is this by design?

This looks really strange to me tbh, as if these rotors werent meant for these pads. Would love some input.
that looks like the pad area is super small compared to what mine looks like after bedding.

Continue the bed in process and see if this persists. I'm fairly confident it will make full contact when you fully bed in the pad. Start with 5 light pressure stops from around 25-35 mph to 5 mph to get rotor temps up. Then do 5 medium stops from 45-55 to 15 mph. Finally do 10 hard stops from 65-75 mph down to 25 mph. Wait 1 minute in between each hard stop to allow the rotor to cool a little bit. After completing 10 hard stops, drive around the freeway for roughly 10-15 minutes to cool everything off. Try to avoid braking during this time.

Thanks doc, the prescription was exactly what it needed! I think maybe the shop I got the brakes replaced at weren't able to bed the brakes in well enough. Lesson learned: bed brakes in yourself regardless if the shop said they did :)
