Is it possible to calibrate the front radar at home? Honda wants 2.5 hrs, which is ridiculous. There has to be a way to calibrate it myself.

I was afraid of that. Mine seems a bit off since I had the front bumper replaced. The only way to do it yourself would be trial and error. Adjust it, and then drive on the highway and see how it behaves.

Do you know how to even begin adjusting it?

I'm thinking I'll need a factory scan tool.

The radar is inoperable. Here's the code Honda pulled:
P2583-64 MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR AIMING ERROR THE BEAM
AXIS OF MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR IS OUT OF ALIGNMENT

I don't have any error codes, it just seems like it picks up cars in the right lane when they are close. I assumed there would be a mechanical adjustment for aiming, but I haven't tried yet.

Were you in an accident? It sounds like the aim is so far off that it isn't working at all.

Ugh

Just left Honda where I was told the radar needs to be replaced. Like, $500. Plus calibration.

Cruise control doesn't even work.

Sucks.

I just took off the bumper and the only thing I found wrong was the bracket was pushed back. I'm highly doubtful I need an entirely new radar.

I'll keep yall posted.

You'll spend more time and money messing around with it all vs just filling an insurance claim and getting it fixed right
