Front pipes & down pipes

Hey,

would anybody know if installing aftermarket front and downpipes throw a engine light on the dash??

No, some are more sensitive than others and depends on a ton of factors including climate. I get codes with my 27WON catted DP but only in the winter.

I got both PRL front pipe and catless downpipe and yes it does. Your gonna have to disable code p0420 in order to remove the check engine light from the dash. Once you do that everything will be fine.

Don't think you really can tell without some specialized equipment to measure flow rater or something. My used PRL catted pipe is working just fine so :dunno:

I think the only things you can check is idle manifold pressure (high back pressure = clog??) And shine a flashlight down the pipe to take a look at the substrate. I doubt there would be anything wrong though.

Thank you, I think im going to go for it, for 300 a MAP Down pipe. its coming off an Si I have CVT, I should be ok?

27won catted dp hasn't given me any codes. I live in socal so it's never really cold here, maybe that's why.

Okay thank you! Do you know any brands that forsure won’t?
Nothing is 100% certain, but I run a RV6 DP (purchased used) & it's never thrown a CEL. I went with the RV6 for that reason after doing research.
