I specifically told my salesman, just to be sure, not to install a front license plate holder. Turns out my dealer does not, but he was unsure whether Honda drills the holes. On signing day he did point out the depressed hole markers on the front bumper that Honda does (hard to notice). I would never have accepted a front holder when our state does not require a front plate and Honda doesn't put one there. Had the dealer done it on their own initiative, I would have made replacing the defaced panel a condition of purchase. I had one on my '96 civic because it was bought in GA; we moved to NC, no front plate, and it looked like crap. Do they put a ski rack on top should you ever need skis?

I also told my salesman that I wanted no badge or advertising of the dealership (but that I would allow it on the rear-plate holder only). My dad used to tell his dealers he would allow them to badge, but would charge them a monthly advertising fee
