Got my front plate mounted yesterday, end up buying a plastic mount and some home depot's nut n bolts. Pretty happy with the result.

How did you fit the bottom screws in? You drilled them into the plastic?

I finally made a long overdue video of my bracket that I've started to sell again. Should've done this a year ago. Apologies for the delay. Sold over a 100+ on fb groups and civicx so some of you may have it already.

I went with Perrin. The cons is you have to cut the fog light cover in order to screw this into your bumper frame but it looks pretty nice.

+1 on the Perrin. It’s rigid and doesn’t block the intercooler grill. Can also double as a tow hook if necessary. I’m not too concerned about drilling a hole in a $30 grill.

I wouldn’t trust anything attached to the plastic front lower grill, it’s flimsy material, and I’m sure at any amount of speed is moving around and probably rubbing paint. Also, I’ve noticed I am literally the only person I’ve seen mount mine to the driver/left side of the car.

There’s a guy by the name of Type-JZ on here that sells 3D printed ones I bought a couple from that’s of high quality. Had them for about a year now. Never mounted my plates but it’s been on without issues. It’s a pretty clever design. He says he tracks with them on too.

thx! Late reply, but yes we track with them often here in SoCal. Then bar and your plates isn’t going anywhere. It’s sandwhiched in there. In fact, I’m using a broken one and it’s been on there for 3 years. Going to be on there for a long long time. Someone even mounted a GoPro on it. Just remember to add some foam tape to the back of the plate and you won’t touch the paint.

I got mine from Type-JZ, but I'm still awaiting my new plates to be delivered from the DMV before I do the install. It looks like it will work well, and it arrived very quickly.

In case ppl are still trying to find out what setup for their front license plate grill. Here’s a $10 kit with video instructions.
