So this happened today while driving on the shitty interstate of South Carolina. I'm beyond mad and irritated because now I have to fight with SCDOT to get them to reimburse me the cost of the bumper replacement and! Get this, my Xpel coverage on the bumper to protect me from the road debri from the interstate in the first place!!!

A block of 2x4 fell off a construction truck hit the car in front of mine and bounced back to hit me, if I were any closer to the car in front of me it probably go through my windshield rather than hit the bottom bumper.

Wait, so how is SCDOT supposed to pay vs. the driver of the truck? I feel like that'd be an uphill battle you won't win.

Might have been an SCDOT truck. I live in upstate SC as well, and our local DOT trucks are total crap and loaded with stuff that isn't strapped down. Just today I was behind a DOT truck that had one brake light out and decided to turn without using a blinker (though that was probably out too).
