The space between the front cap and the front fender is larger on the passenger side than the driver side.
I haven't had any body work on the fender or the front cap, nor had them removed. Seems to have separated a certain distance and the stopped moving down. I can push the front cap towards the fender and close the gap.
Has anyone seen this before? Anyone got a pic of the interior parts holding these two pieces together? I haven't had any impacts, potholes, no clips broken (that I can find) so what could be the matter?

That cheap Honda Civic build quality......Wish i could have more of a helpful insight doesn't the screws in the fender wall in front of the tire hold this in place? plus a clip

Looks like there is a screw or two accessed from inside the fender well as well as friction fit snaps.
My concern is these have fatigue broken and are just dangling there. I can push it and it closes the gap but let go and it sags.

You can should be able to get replacement clips if some of yours have failed.

It's more like the plastic is buckled/warped ever so slightly outward there. Both sides can be mashed inwards and will return to their resting position, but the passenger side rests farther away from the fender. Weird.
No clips broken top, bottom, or in the fender well.

I’ve been watching disassembly videos and it seems there is a sheet metal bracket that could possibly be bent inwards ever so slightly to make the clip catch farther in.
One day I’ll try it but right now too busy to disassemble my daily.

I know sometimes clips get damaged say when an intercooler upgrade is installed. If any of you have done this keep it in mind the dealer can and will charge you to determine what the cause is and deny fixing it if they see an aftermarket intercooler installed.

No mods and mine just passed warranty last week. Besides car washers joy riding? I don’t think so.

the front bumper has sagging issues. mine's the same way on the passenger side.

one thing the FL5 has going for it they've moved manufacturing back to japan. would be interesting to see how the build quality changes.
