...did you do anything with the faux carbon lip kit? Were you able to coat it? Did anyone attempt it? It has a bit of texture and not sure how it would work out being coated, if it would at all.

I've coated all three of my cars personally using Carpro Cquartz UK 3.0, with a topcoat of Gliss. It does fine on the trim and I love the results. Good luck.

I didn't encounter any issues. I did consult Carpro before proceeding with similar questions but again, I couldn't be happier with the results.

Typically consumer grade coatings don't last as long as professional only coatings.

If applied correctly and maintained properly they do last quite a long time.

Yep. I coated my truck myself in September of 2018. It looks as good as the day I did it. Maintain the coating properly and it will quite a long time.
