All auto manufacturers are required to inform NHTSA within 5 days of determining a recall. That doesn't mean the affected cars are all listed yet. The VIN inquiry lists the older recall models:2005 CR-V 2003–04 Element 2002–04 Odyssey 2003–05 Pilot 2006 Ridgeline. I think there will be another site, or models added to the original site after Februaary 15, which is when Honda said they would have the new list available. I suspect dealers will have the info after that also. I know there are a number or cars that can not be sold right now in their inventory until fixed. My understanding is that it is a hit and miss issue, some need to be looked at and some don't. In the press release, this is what was mentioned: 2007-2011 CR-V 2011-2015 CR-Z 2010-2014 FCX 2009-2014 Fit 2010-2014 Insight 2007-2014 Ridgeline.
I read somewhere that more than 50% of the original recall have been changed out, and there is no backorder of parts to get them done. I don't think the civic recall seems related to the air bag recall, but just a guess.
