I live in Michigan and decided to pull the stock tires off the car before 1) it gets cold out and 2) there's not enough tread on them to do anything with. The rears have 8/32" tread depth, and the fronts have 7/32" tread depth. I have not tracked the car or driven them real rough. The tires are marked as to where they came off the vehicle as well. Most of my tanks of gas have averaged 25.5-26 MPG, with freeway trips averaging 31-34 MPG.
I will ship these the way Tire Rack ships tires - tape two together and slap a FedEx Ground label on it. I don't mind wrapping them in bubble wrap if anyone would prefer me to do that.
I'm asking $900 for the set, which is about 70% of Tire Rack's price. I'll send an invoice through PayPal (buyer protection for you) and cover the PayPal/shipping fees. If anybody wants references I am "treasurechestofliberty" on eBay.
Yes, I am guinea pig testing the Sumitomo HTR Z III's. I contacted Sumitomo and they said don't drive them in snow, but they should be fine to be stored on the vehicle in an unheated attached garage all winter.
Thanks for looking!
