Thanks! It’s ready to go. Ive been meaning to do another follow up post. I’ve been testing them and I wanted to take them to the track. Unfortunately, I haven’t tracked but I’ve been driving with them for awhile. Got real busy over the summer with family vacations. Still hoping to hit the track soon.

Understandable, family first!

Let us know how the track day goes when you get around to it. Either way, I would love to grab a pair of em.

Any chance you'd be willing to sell the stl file?

I'm interested also. I use my car for tracking mostly and an occasional trip through the country. I have a huge problem with brake cooling on the track I frequent - Road America. I would be interested in any results or thoughts about using the larger vent to help with this issue. I also have the HEL oil cooler installed.

Thanks for your Interest. I also frequent the tracks. With these vents, the larger the better. Especially if you're pushing this car & with oil coolers, this would help vent the hot air as well as brake heat. Something i didn't point out before is that cars w/ brake ducts like ours would highly benefit as well. You're ramming air thru the ducts and into the brake area or into the wheel well. Ramming lots of air into the wheel well. That air needs to exist smoothly or vent out to be effective. It's like a recirculating oven in there.
However, I decided to keep it simple and just make the smaller one to cater to the masses. The top portion leaves room for oem functionality or lets air exit from oem hood scoop. The small would still be very beneficial. I have a js racing hood that negates the oem hood scoop so I can personally use the large vent. In the end I’m assuming a lot of people will use their oem hood. The large vent would be more costly to make too. I have 5 sets of small if you guys are ready. If your setup to use the large, I have some I’ll give you same price as small.

I have a vented hood (Racelouver) so the OEM air crap is out of the way. So just let me know how we should go about the transaction. PM me. There is no hurry, I will be doing this install over the winter months for the 2025 tracking season. I think you should be aiming at the folks who track with the vents.

Nice! Sure, i'll PM you. Not sure if you saw my ref on my first post. The data is actually from Race Louvers. I follow the gentleman over there that posts wind tunnel data for their R&D mustang. Very informative. As for me, I'm not into cutting metal lol. You could use their universal fender louvers if you're into cutting up your fender. Use their largest one and will be the most beneficial.

Are you willing to ship internationally? Im into functional Aero mods.

Some people claim that the venting from inside thd hood out through the fender vents don't work. I think I agree to this. Mine is a European model which comes with the underhood fender trim which blocks the gap.

I don't understand why Honda made the fender vent in the first place. Maybe they wanted to do what you are making but ended up scrapping it?

I'd love to buy the bigger one from you. Although, I wish the lower 2 vents were also hollow but that would require a more extensive cutting.

I'll PM you, but yes, I can ship internationally. It's been discussed 7 years ago that the OEM hood scoop doesn't cool. Race shop and other members has measured it before and after temps and found no diff. Funny that people still don't want to believe it lol.
Mfg doesn't need to make everything functional. Sometimes they make things for looks and sometimes half functional to meet project goals.
I did try to design max vent, but like you said, the lower area is blocked thru the metal.

While you are there, can you make the rear fake vent real? This would reduce the parachute effect even more. It should look similar to Spoon Rear bumper. I like the functionality but not Spoon tax itself

Yea I’m working on something for the rear. Check out my IG @dajay23. I post stuff I make. I also made a reducer for the brake duct to make it functional.
