Fk8 Type R overheating at high speed

I just bought a brand new 2019 Type R in June. I was quite shocked when I was driving on the A3 towards Passau when i glanced at the water temperature and it was heading towards the top. It was quite hot that day, around 36 Celsius and I was constantly above 240 kph holding the throttle mostly to the floor for 5-10 minutes. One of the plastic flaps that directs the air towards the intercooler is also broken, I was thinking this might have been the cause. I've run quite a few high spec hatchbacks at top speed and never had this issue.

Between 240-275, there was not much traffic on a Sunday.

I would take it to your dealer. Surely they've got more experience with cars on the autobahn than the majority Americans here do.
