I don't own a Type R, but I felt compelled to make a resource thread for all 10th gen Type R owners who want to browse parts from Japan without having to rely on sketchy import retailer websites. In my experience they are all spotty at best, so I found most of the useful websites with the good stuff where you can skip the tedious legwork having to browse through cryptic search engine links. I made a list for the CR-Z group who seems to find it very helpful.

Do NOT attempt to order directly from these websites as they are based in Japan and you will risk losing your money. Please contact your preferred parts specialist for purchase. Upon request via PM, I can refer a parts exporter based in Japan who can handle everything.

Many of the websites are in Japanese only so feel free to use a translator like Google Translate or DeepL.

Black Hawk Japan, RHDJapan, and Nengun ships directly from Japan without having to go through a reseller outlet
As someone who has gone through Nengun and RHD at least once, I can say they're both lazy and slow. Nengun charges full retail price and takes like three days to reply while RHD doesn't keep anything up to date so paying your money up front doesn't guarantee that they can actually get the item you're paying for. One of my items was gonna be backordered for almost half a year before I contacted customer service to cancel it. I have another I use who can often get me quotes same day who is MUCH better than the rest.

RHD normally gets back to me within 24 hours and they would say if it's in stock or on backorder. I believe it's also listed on their site if it's available or not

If you believe a website can keep an up to date inventory list on tens of thousands of products that they don't even make, then you are a bigger fool than me who learned from that same mistake. For example, HKS lists my CR-Z clutch kit as DISCONTINUED, but the same kit is still up on RHD waiting to be added to the cart. Even inquiring about a set of RAYS wheels directly from RAYS found that they're back ordered until 2023. God forbid you add an item that's made to order to the cart assuming it'll ship same day, only to find out you'll be waiting two months or more without notice.

Everyone knows RAYS are on 1 year back order so that's a given

A couple of my HKS and Js parts that I got from RHD got shipped out a few days after I placed an order, got tracking and all that so it probably varies for each vehicle. Since you own a CR-Z it would probably make sense that stuff for that vehicle is on backorder, even OE parts for that car is on backorder since majority is obsolete

The items that were backordered weren't even car parts but that's neither here nor there. As for RAYS it very much depends on the specific wheel, some were in stock and others were way back ordered. At the time of purchase of the clutch kit they inquired directly with HKS before anything happened. Meanwhile my J's Racing header took about a week to make and a week to arrive at the shop (after managing to revive it and have J's put it back on their website thanks to domestic retailers telling me it was discontinued. Vivid Racing is just really lazy and barely updates anything).

OE CR-Z parts aren't really on backorder frequently, you can buy most of it online from OE parts websites, but most dealers don't stock anything since it's such a rare car these days. Even wiper blades are special order from the dealer I kid you not. Not to mention almost no dealers want to touch the HPD supercharger kit even though it is a Honda part with Honda part numbers and TSBs. They just give me various excuses from it being aftermarket (it isn't) to "it wasn't installed by the dealer" (because they refused to do it). :/

Can vouch for BlackHawk. Their communication is very good and shipping was fairly fast. If a item is not available or a delay is anticipated after you place a order they reach out and let you know, and give you the option to cancel the order if you do not want to wait with a full refund.

Not sure I understand the RHDJapan hate. I've used them numerous times with satisfactory results. Even used them for some OE parts for my S2000 that aren't even available stateside and got them in a matter of days.

When you've tried ordering and stock checking a dozen items in a row for them to either tell you it's months backordered or discontinued, despite their website not telling you this beforehand and hold your order for more than a week even though the maker has the items in stock (I knew they did, long story) you get a little salty. The exporter I use who hasn't been named yet even tells me about how often he gets items to quote from RHD which are long discontinued on a regular basis. I have only made one purchase through RHD and won't do it again.

Karen alert
I suppose I should also mention he saved me $350 on just a single part compared to even RHD, let alone domestic stores charging way more than RHD. He even helped me get a part listed back on the maker's website just because he bothered to make a serious inquiry and I got it in two weeks. But you do you boo, I won't stop you. 👍

So wait you create a list in the OP, mention you have a curator/seller that can get parts, but don’t list them? Kinda defeats the purpose of initial post no?
