For those wanting to do this, donā€™t. My FK7 doesnā€™t have the hole for the light that OPā€™s does. Iā€™ve checked videos on YouTube for the FK8 as well, and it is also missing.

You have to drill out/cut out the hole. Thats what the template in the first picture is of šŸ‘

I'm in the middle of installing it on my FK7, how did you feed the wire through the tailgate rubber tube? It's so crowded there already

Use wax spray to lubricate, slowly go through

Makes a lot more sense. After I sent you the message, I reviewed the instructions, and realized I have mixed up the directions of the short harness the whole time lol I should have feed from the tailgate back into the body with the 2 metal pigtails. I'll try again tomorrow.

Thanks for proving it works!

I did it šŸ˜ I didn't put in the center, but rather left of the panel. Looking good. While I'm there, also replaced the rubber bumps (I don't think they're reusable)

Found out that the tint shop (they should be the last time that bolt is touched) didn't put all the bolts back inside the handle, only 1 of 4 bolts are present. Pretty upset, but quickly I ordered the bolts, along with replacing a broken green mounting clip. Love this additional feature!
