KRetard 1 to 4. Ignore KRetard (actual ignition reduction, averaged from 1-4) and KLevel (knock sensor sensitivity). Opinions vary on this, but you should strive to not see high knock across multiple cylinders consistently. Seeing it every once in a while isn't cause for concern. A couple degrees in a couple cylinders is no concern. Consistently seeing four degrees across three cylinders at 6500RPM is reason to pull back timing or boost.Hi Adam and Jpierro, thank you for the great info.
What parameter do you use to log knock? Hondata has 5 knock retards (K.Retard & KRetards 1 to 4)?
By my logs, I don't think I can advance top end as suggested. I'm getting 1 deg on KRetard and 4 deg on KRetards 1 to 3 from 6500 rpm up. Temperature was 80 F using 100 RON or about 93 octane in the US.
Also, if messing with ignition, it's recommended by Hondata to change all maps by the same amount.
