Switching to installing these TSW black Interlagos, 19x9.5, +41, just $200 ea. Going with these instead of the RSR R-702, (Never mounted or fit, just opened one so for sale, 19x9.5, +40, 5x120, black & machined).
I couldn’t figure out a good way to paint/tint over the RSR clear coat aluminum to go with my blacked out R. Powder coat pricey, paint/tint options might not stick well.

When wheels & tires get changed, adding Eibach Pro-Kit springs that should drop F& R .8 inches.

Car pic is rendered, new wheels black, others black & silver if anyone wants to get new 19s cheap, say $550/set 4 shipped CONUS.

I find a lot of people are running 18x9.5 +38 ish. Anyone running something stupid aggressive? Like 18 or 19x10.5 +22 or 18x9.5 +10. I know there’s an FK8 running 18x10.5 +22 but he had to cut/shave/roll/etc.

18x9.5 in the low 10's would definitely require a cut/shave/roll etc.

Question is would it clear the brakes though?

I was looking at the Cosmis XT206 in 18x9.5 +10. I like how the face is a little more concaved over the 18x9 +33.

That is incredibly aggressive and will unlikely fit unless you did fender mods/cut/roll etc. Each wheel is created differently, so it is best for you to inquire directly with Cosmis to see if they will clear your OEM CTR brakes. It is not just the offset that determines brake clearance. Spoke design plays a large role in clearance as well.

We do not sell Cosmis.

OP, you heard of any rubbing issues with this setup:

18x9.5 +35
265/35/18
Swift Springs
R SPC Camber Arms
Will depend on the tire but based on customer feedback and experience, that setup should be fine granted you have rear adjustable camber arms.

Sys-Moto,
‘19 Type R opinion fishing.

When researching sizes/fitment (pre-pandemic before forced to cut budget in half) one great shop advised this without any further mod and no contact issues:
(Not mine, they said up to this works)
265/35-19 on 9.5” (I’d think 10 or 10.5 would look better) ET41
TSW Interlagos

Looking at calculators, that seems extreme but they had pictures of an R running it without rub or scrape. There was a little poke past fenders (10-15mm?) but some gap, supposedly no drop.

I later sold a vehicle ($$$) but found wheels on my own to economize (wheels go to $173/ea so seller refunded diff).

Decided minor lowering to avoid possible two finger gap, got Eibach Pro -.8”.

To be safer to avoid any rub I took it to a shop I know just did a Type R (1st time other place + higher markup too). and they installed everything at once and did alignment.
My fitment used:

-TSW Interlagos 19”x9.5” matte black, ET41
- Goodyear Eagle Exhilaration A/S tires
255/35-19
-Eibach Pro Springs .8” F&R, dropped to flush fender with edge of tire and width just tucked.
Seems to me possible rub if bumpy in turns up front or big pothole in back.

Do you think there is/could be any contact problems?

Typically just me in it, occasional passenger, not maxed out.
Straight on pics taken bottom of fender height.

Thank you for your pro insight!

Wheel Specs:
Rays Volk ZE40 RW Limited 18x10 +36 Dash White/Red

F: 18x10 +33 effective (3mm spacer) w/ 265/35/18 Potenza S007A
R: 18x10 +36 w/ 265/35/18 Potenza S007A
Height: Lowered about 1.6" all around
Suspension: Fortune Auto FA500 Coilovers
Fender Mods: No Fender Roll

This is another square setup we have offered for the FK8 CTR community, 18x10 for those who wish to fit a 275. At 265 or 255, no fender roll/fender cut is necessary. We have helped procure this size to achieve Face-3 concavity for the ZE40 RW Limited (conventional sizing is 18x9.5 +46, which is flat-face).

We also have customers running our regular Volk ZE40 in 18x10 +37 (1mm more sunk than this) with a 265/35/18 with no fender roll/cut. No issues so far. (Works on both Springs + OEM height).

Lowered on swift springs I should be able to run 265 without rubbing or having to cut the fender?

you’re running a 3mm spacer up front?

Will depend on brand of tire, we recommend 255/35/18 if you are lowered on Swifts and have bad roads/plan to carry large loads at a time.

This car is running a 3mm spacer up front yes. We also have adjustable camber plates up front on this suspension setup. You should be fine with a 255/35/18.

What alignment specs are the people running 18x9.5 +38 at? A lot of these say there is no fender modification but is that just cutting? I prefer not to do anything that's permanent. I've read that some people have pretty bad rubbing issues with 18x9.5 +35. Lol all this is very confusing.
