Hello Fellas

Just wanted to get some insight from some of you mechanically oriented specifically suspension oriented people out there.

I wanted to check my alignment to make sure everything was within specs.

Turns out, the caster seems to be a little bit out of spec. 7.2 degrees on each side to be specific.

Is this normal on these type r? according to the alignment software it should be between 7.5-8.5 so I am a little under their minimum range.

My car has under 2k miles so I am assuming this is normal specs ? see picture attached

By the way, tech used database for a 2020 type r Since I am pretty sure the exact same specs as 2021.

thanks in advance fellas

You don’t have to worry about it probably the sensor level wasn’t set back to level when they move the car back and forth to scan it

I have seen a few alignment specs from a few people here and the ones I e seen they also have the caster in red. Is this comun? Has anyone done an alignment recently? Would love to see another spec sheet

Caster can change when they rotate the sensor

That's why I'm waiting for my Rigid Collars before I do an alignment.

Take your car back and have them fix your rear toe. It’s excessively toed in.

Caster isn’t adjustable so I wouldn’t worry about it.

Do you generally run the rear toe zeroed out? Also, have you ever tried a little toe out in the front? My shop is suggesting it as a way to sharpen the on center feel, since my slight front toe in (within OEM spec) feels a tiny bit dead on center.

That's pretty common to help with rotation on FWD cars. I switch back and forth between 0 toe and some toe in the rear. I keep the front at 0 toe.

What's your use case OP? Just street driving?

My autox alignment is:
Max front camber (-1.7, stock, pins pulled)
0 toe front
Rear toe out, to encourage rotation.

the rear toe is in the "green" but thats still a decent amount of toe. I'd have him move it closer to the other end of their "range". I run about 0.12 deg TOTAL rear toe and you run that on each end.

How much camber are you running in the front vs the back?
