Getting rid of something like that will be difficult. Labours of love usually are. Like most of the people here...I want your fenders lol.
You could make your own aftermarket parts/fender kit, and I'm sure you'd have the buyers on a leash for a made as ordered part.

Yup, that's why I chose to build in the factory Si direction - it's already gone too far, so stocking out would be impossible now. Better to make it an OEM+ build that some well-off-enough client can get interested in.

Speaking of returning things to stock (but better), the fog lights have been missing for a while since the bumper was clearanced for splitter mounting. Turned problem into opportunity by bracketing the fog lights to the chassis instead - makes removing the bumper easy since the fog lights don't need to be unplugged while you hold the bumper one-handed.

Here's what we looked like this morning:

Honda Civic 10th gen FK7 Si build, cont. 20200925_175202

I had some beefy steel brackets lying around the garage, figured I'd use them. First step, a little clearance trimming on the fog light housing to give the bracket some room.

Mark and drill holes.

Bolt to fog light housings and carefully line things up. In my case I need exactly a 1" spacer between the crash bar and my steel bracket - perfect, I've got extra 1/2" spacers.

Honda Civic 10th gen FK7 Si build, cont. 20200925_182936

Drilling was not easy to line up, so I couldn't take a picture. But it's just a small hole in the crash bar. Run a long bolt through it, stack the spacers, bracket, washer and lock nut onto the bolt, and tighten.

Aligning the fogs was surprisingly easy. Plugged those fog light pigtails back in for the first time in 2 years lol. All is well!

I've put 200 miles on the Si ECU now and somehow it hasn't thrown a misfire code yet! (It used to REGULARLY do this with the Sport ECU due to the flywheel being dumb light.) Shot DRob an email and we are going to retune the new computer the same way we had it before the ECU swap.

Are there any local R's who would like to trade their fix-a-flat kit and trunk floor for a spare tire kit and trunk floor? 5x120 is a problem I understand, but apparently I'm getting called out for "unauthenticity" with my spare tire (nevermind that Canadian Si's had spares).

Besides that nice-to-have, still have to tackle the headunit swap and install my Mugen front lip. And then we're done! Time to go flex on haters, whore the car out all over the internets, yada yada yada.

I would keep the spare tire kit IMO. The car looks phenomenal, whoever buys the car is going to be very lucky. Honda should have made the Si available in hatchback.

None of those people calling you out will come help you when you have a blowout. Enjoy the spare duder.

Bunch of goodies came in I haven't had time to do anything about!

Si headunit
Mugen front lip

In the meantime I crowbar'd the front fenders to match the front tire fitment to the rear, remounted the fender garnishes and applied foam weatherseal tape to them to refine things a bit more. The front doors now open the full two "clicks" needed to get in and out easily. ?

Definitely excited to wrap and install the front lip, get rid of the eBay lip it has now. Less excited for the headunit install, but it must be done. ?

Wrapping the front lip I think is the safest route. Its subject to a lot of chipping. Even thinking about a cf lip...youd still have to clear wrap it to protect it from rocks. Your head unit will be the easy install...just some panel popping and a few screws/plugs.

The headunit from the Si I *hope* is an easy install, I bet it won't be so plug-and-play though.

The front lip is here! 17 pieces of tape, four pushpins and four screws from Mugen make this kind of a PITA to install. But it looks like it belongs, matches the factory gloss black Sport body kit perfectly.

And then other small tweaks I've been meaning to do, the oil cooler is now partially blocked off for street use. I'm getting to 185F (oil) in about 10min of driving from a cold start, which is slower than stock, but good enough considering higher the oil capacity of 6qts.

Not too noticeable - basically, those who know, know.

Side view checks out. I like the blue/black color scheme with the fender garnish matching the wheels (it is the exact same powder coat on both) rather than the rest of the gloss black kit.

Hey! Im working on my own FK7 Si conversion, having a built L15B7 and all. If Im reading this right, you swapped the ECU to Si? What all did that take, besides the ECU and harness? Do I need a new gauge cluster as well? Ive heard the gauge "auto-detects" the ECU type and displays features based on that. Keep in mind I have Honda Sensing, so I might be forced to buy a 2020 Si ECU and modify the transmission ratios.

It's super cool to see this build!

I think you just need the engine, ECU and harness - the cluster had no issues for me besides the fact that my car has no push-button start (throws one non-CEL code). I'm waiting for my Sport mode button to come in so we can further check for errors/incompatibilities. I *really* don't like the digital cluster in the Si so I'm glad it's not necessary.

Not like my car looks like a stock Si anyways, so is having a stock Si cluster entirely necessary? ?

I hate wiring :)

Honda Civic 10th gen FK7 Si build, cont. 20201021_182744

Following the DIY thread I've put together a nice bit of kit to finish up the Hondalink headunit swap - not too much headass, but there were definitely a lot of little things to buy.

Tuner unit needs 5 adapters just to go between the stock antenna and the receiver lol...

Honda Civic 10th gen FK7 Si build, cont. 20201021_182921

The 16pin JAE connector for the back of the receiver was out of stock across the country sooooooo I bought a 20pin one off Mouser and chopped it.

Honda Civic 10th gen FK7 Si build, cont. 20201020_220925

Yes this totally works lol, and the pins and pin lock still work as normal.

Honda Civic 10th gen FK7 Si build, cont. 20201020_221144

You can see though that I bought a receiver that requires a subwoofer however. Whoops! But I can still finish the wiring harness, so let's do that. Wiring diagram says that some wires are RS485+, RS485-, and the shield for that - ok no problem, let's whip up a shielded cable out of a USB (which is a similar serial cable behind the plugs).

Honda Civic 10th gen FK7 Si build, cont. 20201021_125430

Crimp a few more terminals and solder some pigtails together, pretty sure I've got my harness! Gotta look up where the reverse signal is on the original Sport receiver and just bridge it over using one last pin. Should be good.

Honda Civic 10th gen FK7 Si build, cont. 20201021_183338

Besides that, car's doing good! I took it on a road trip to LA over the weekend (my daily was out of service), drove "spiritedly" and still averaged 33mpg for almost a thousand miles.

Honda Civic 10th gen FK7 Si build, cont. 20201023_175604

I suspect the Si badge triggers even non-Civic people - EVERYONE wants to race now! I used to be left 100% alone, wearing full race aero. Derek sent me an ethanol tune with a kill map, so it's not like I can't... but this and I are both getting old lol.

Next outing for this car is Super Lap Battle on Nov. 13 at Buttonwillow Raceway. I'm not racing, just supporting ma boi Jackie Ding - but come say hi if you're a motorsports fan!

Headunit swap complete! Works perfectly, and so far no rattles thanks to gluing and taping down as much as was practical.

Didn't take pictures of the GPS antenna location, but that got taped above the instrument cluster facing the sky. No problems acquiring signal. The AM/FM tuner went on the passenger side, taped to what I think is an A/C vent tube. About 5" further in than the picture suggests.

Honda Civic 10th gen FK7 Si build, cont. 20201028_185953

The harnesses from my last post all had to be connected to the tuner before it could be taped in place, so this isn't the best design for maintenance, but it keeps it all easily accessible at least.

Now for tapping into the power lines - wrap and solder for a solid connection, the wire taps suggested by the tutorial thread didn't allow enough current through to even power on the Android screen.

Honda Civic 10th gen FK7 Si build, cont. 20201029_114634

Same goes for the reverse camera trigger - wrapped new wire around old wire, soldered, then insulated the connection.

Honda Civic 10th gen FK7 Si build, cont. 20201029_125513

Ran that wire under the dash into the radio cavity, crimped a JAE terminal on it and pushed it right into slot #15.

Honda Civic 10th gen FK7 Si build, cont. 20201028_185335

An absolute mess of wires in here, and this is already while not using some factory Si features like the Lanewatch camera. Can't imagine what you Si boys look like behind your factory radios.

Honda Civic 10th gen FK7 Si build, cont. 20201028_190820

With the power supply issue resolved, hooked everything up and it all worked 1st try! AM/FM works, speakers work, reverse camera works, vehicle settings (this is actually pretty nice), etc. The Si headunit is noticeably laggier than the "old-school" Sport unit but I guess today's buyers are okay with this tradeoff for the bling of a 7" Android panel.

Honda Civic 10th gen FK7 Si build, cont. 20201029_121814

The curving lines on the backup camera display are a welcome upgrade as well, I'm just glad the response time to pull up the camera is faster than the rest of the UI.

With this we are three parts away from completion - one Sport button, one stock Si passenger motor mount and stock Si transmission mount!

For reasons I don't quite understand (or just a series of bad coincidences), I had to jump through some hoops just to obtain a simple Sport button.

Multiple online orders were canceled without notification, so I had to go to the local dealership, where I then had to explain that my car is an FK7 yes but with a smog-legal Si powertrain swap, therefore I needed this freaking button to finish it up. Anyways, $26 later:

Honda Civic 10th gen FK7 Si build, cont. 20201106_152334

Besides the cluster, which I 99% refuse to change, this is it for the interior!

Honda Civic 10th gen FK7 Si build, cont. 20201106_154135

From a guy who's used to turning everything into a racecar, it's definitely weird to see myself getting excited about a freaking stock Si, but it's the car Honda refused to make so here we are.

Honda Civic 10th gen FK7 Si build, cont. 20201106_154123 (1)

Now to put the stock motor mounts back in and enjoy some newfound peace and quiet!
