Honda Civic 10th gen FK7 Si build, cont. 1604879006410

No, there's nothing special here, I just threw in all three stock Si engine mounts and I'm glad that the cabin NVH is at a marketable level. The Perrin inserts do a commendable job of keeping the motor from rocking without adding noise vs stock, it's a good compromise piece.

Which means, I'm finally done! Washed and waxed the car only for San Jose to start pouring. More photos and FS listing to come.

For reasons I don't quite understand (or just a series of bad coincidences), I had to jump through some hoops just to obtain a simple Sport button.

Multiple online orders were canceled without notification, so I had to go to the local dealership, where I then had to explain that my car is an FK7 yes but with a smog-legal Si powertrain swap, therefore I needed this freaking button to finish it up. Anyways, $26 later:

Besides the cluster, which I 99% refuse to change, this is it for the interior!

From a guy who's used to turning everything into a racecar, it's definitely weird to see myself getting excited about a freaking stock Si, but it's the car Honda refused to make so here we are.

Now to put the stock motor mounts back in and enjoy some newfound peace and quiet!
Any chance if you know if that Sport switch panel is compatible with the CVT model too? Thanks in advance!

I bet it is - the cluster doesn't recognize my Sport button anyways, it just shows up on the cluster as the "Eco" icon lol.

I bet it's the same exact button & connector, they just paint it with "sport" instead of the leaf.. keeps costs low for Honda!

I really wish I was in a spot to be able to consider this once it goes up for sale. All I ever wanted was an Si hatch. I need the practicality/space the hatch provides, but Honda decided it was Type R or nothing - since the sport isn't any faster than an EX or LX it's really not much of an upgrade in terms of performance... I would have bought an Si hatch without question. Maybe they will learn for next gen? Given the discontinuation of the coupe, one would think if there is a hatchback model they will make an Si variant. Or, one can hope!

Anyways, I wish you luck that you can find a buyer who's willing to pay what this is worth, especially with all the hard work that has went into it. Fantastic job, absolutely fantastic. GLWS!

I like the 2018!. Is that the factory blue? Did they switch it in MY19 or 20? Maybe it's just your camera but that blue's looking sharp!

You're not going to do the 2020 garnish front/rear?
Makes it look really good.
It's not a 2020, I'm not passing it off as one either.

This is sick.
Thanks!

Thanks! I'm not listing it for more than a stock Si anyways, I expect it to sell.

You're probably right, at least the Sport button lights up white instead of green lol. I still wonder why a simple toggle switch has 4-6 wire leads underneath though.

It's factory Aegean Blue Metallic, just a coat of wax on top and a little Adobe Lightroom to deal with horrible lighting and rain. :)

Pretty much ticked all the boxes now. MAPerformance shot a few of CH2 when I drove them down to Buttonwillow for Super Lap Battle last weekend. The setting is a little bittersweet, I can't track this car anymore if it's sold haha.
