Hi I’m looking to pick up set of XXR 530s for my Civic hatchback sport! Keep in mind ive never bought wheels for a car. So I actually just bought a new set of tires which are 235/40/18 just like the stock ones because I originally had no intention on buying wheels ,but now that I seen so many people with lowering springs and wheels I’m in love lol!!!! If someone could please tell me if these wheels would work on this size tire that’d be great!!!! https://www.nlmotoring.com/XXR-530-Wheels-18x8-75-Flat-Black-p/53088102.htm

It won't work! You need 5x120 not 5x114,3. The ET at 33 is very agressive.

I believe he needs the 5x114 not the 5x120 since it’s a hatchback sport. 18x8.75 et33 isn’t too bad. Some tire stretch, fenderwork, and camber should help those clear even with a drop. Some have even done a 18x9.5 et22 which is even more agessive then that. I believe there’s even someone on here that did a 18x10 too a while back.

Correct me if I’m wrong but 5x114,3 is the bolt pattern for the civic hatchback ? And what offset should I be looking at ?

What’s a safe offset to run with 235-40-18 ?

@Btayz131 the 235s will work. You may have to roll/pull fenders unless you leave it at stock height.

I’m going to run lowering springs on the car possibly so is there another offset i could run that would be safer !? Maybe like +0mm or +22mm

Roughly 18 x 8.5-9” at et 35-45 will work with that size. If you want an aggressive fitment and stretch tires you can probably do a 18 x 9-9.5 at et33-et45. Someone on here I believe managed to clear 265/35s and was lowered. When I find their wheel specs I’ll let you know if you want to go with a beefy sized tire instead of a stretched one.

The lower the offset number the more it’ll stick out. 0mm is way too aggressive. 22-33mm depending on wheel width is already pretty close to the fender flush wise.

So the wheels above that I linked would work fine on springs !? And I really do appreciate you helping sorry for being a car nube im only 16 and it’s the first time doing anything on a car lol

@Btayz131 definitely check this out and compare it to your oem wheel and tire size. If you want to stretch that 235/40/r18 and sit nicely with lowering springs, fender work and camber I’d look for a different wheel width and offset like a 18x9.5 et38.
