Finally got my Type R!

Finally took delivery of my Type R after what seemed like waiting for forever, lol. I purchased my R out of state due to local dealers asking for crack prices or cars being sold before dealers received them. I lenses up dealing with Don Carlton Honda in Tulsa Ok. I live in SC, just south of Charlotte NC.

I put a deposit down the first couple days in October as the car was supposed to arrive on 10/6. After a few delays and what not, the car was delivers in Tulsa OK on 10/31. Then the car was supposed to be loaded on a truck to my house on 11/4 but the driver was delayed at another city. The car was finally loaded on 11/5 and arrived to me this morning.

The R was delivered to me with 8 miles and all the protective stuff from Honda. Which was less protection than I thought would of been on the car. Have the car a gods look over, removed all the protective stuff and gave the car a bath. Went on a quick drive and put her away in the garage for the day.

Congrats. I bought mine 2 months ago sight unseen from a dealer in Las Vegas ( I’m in IN) I was excited when I saw the transporter arrive with the car, but never having driven or ridden in one I wasn’t sure if it was going to be as good as advertised. It’s better... by far! Enjoy the new ride

Awesome! Congrats! Cool all the wrapping was on the interior! Like unwrapping a present at Christmas! I hear sometimes there are orange spacer blocks in the springs so you wanna take those out. Have fun!(but wait until at least 600 miles to have real fun!)

Welcome to the family, make sure they took off the suspension clamps, some dealers forget to do it even though it’s part of the PDI pre inspection delivery..I know that feeling of accomplishment that goes through your body after you got your ctr at your house is indescribable knowing your quest is complete..Enjoy

It's a lot faster if the wheels are on the ground instead of in the sky. You'll also think the seats a good bit more comfortable too.

I had read on here about the orange spring holder things. That was the first thing to go.

It‘s really difficult keeping it under 4k rpms. Might of dipped into 5k territory once or twice, lol.
