Anyone try to install Google Maps natively? I have an iPhone and I don't like Apple Maps..

I installed Google Maps and Waze and they appear to be working fine.

I'll go ahead and fiddle with that later today. I have waze installed but I'm getting annoyed at Waze. Those micro redirections here to save 5 minutes in the Bay Area instead of staying on the freeway are getting absurdly annoying.

Is there a need to install any google play services/frameworks?

If you have an iPhone, you can jailbreak it and install the tweak NGXPlay to mirror any app on the headunit through CarPlay.

I appreciate the suggestion. I'm tired of jailbreaking and the cat & mouse game Apple plays. I've given up on Jailbreak around 10.1.

I'll happily install google maps into my headunit later tonight and try it out with a mobile hotspot.

I'm thinking you need google play services, google account manager, google frameworks and some other items.

I was only able to login to Waze using Facebook.

Just to update you guys:

To add an account from google you need the following:

Google Play Services
Google Play App
Google Account Manager
Google Framework

I am getting an RH01 error right now in the play store but I believe its because I installed the wrong version.

I would like to know if the HU can connect to OBD2 bluetooth also.... I have OBD2 ELM327 mini bluetooth but the HU cannot detect the OBD... anyone tried this??
