Okay so I haven't seen any threads on swaps but I think the Circuit Heart FK7 now has a Si engine/trans, and I was wondering what it would take to actually get this done. I love my FK7 but dealing with KC it getting ridiculous, even after a great tune by DRob and running E85. So here's my question.. what would I need to swap an Si engine and ecu into my FK7? My main concern is wiring but maybe i'm over thinking things. Would love any input with anybody that has info! Thanks guys!

You could probably find a SI owner that would kill to swap motors and ECU with you.

Why would anyone swap (with an Si) to a lesser motor?

What is causing the KC issues?

The issue is that non SI's knock control are more sensitive
Guess I'm out of the loop. I just looked at HondaPartsNetwork and it looked like the Si and Non-Si's knock sensor share the same part numbers (30530-59B-J01).
Perhaps it's something else that is different electrically or the parts between the sensor and the ECUs. Or maybe I looked at the wrong part numbers.

It's a fail safe built into the ecu firmware. Si and Type R ecu are less prone to raise KC under high rpm/high boost.

There was a thread a year or two back where a guy bought a totalled SI and put the motor/ECU into his non-SI. Might be worth searching the old forums.

Well....this is a good thing then, not an issue. Right? I understand it will not allow a tuner to be as aggressive as on a car with less knock but this will also prevent the more aggressive kc car from engine damage. I would think....

Romel's Widebody Battle tank FK7 has a full SI swap. Ask him on IG.
