Throw a flex fuel kit on there and you'll probably beat it.
What he said. Just flex it, no other hardware.

Once i went e50 i havent looked back, 12k 91oct-free miles full of happy smiles.

I always respected them as great performance cars. But I never really dug the looks on the Sub. It needs a refresh looks wise imho. The refinement and build quality isn't up there with a Honda imho too. That's why I went with D2s, DC5s and Si's throughout the years.
Id have to agree about refinement and build quality, i just developed a new rattle in front passenger area. Every so often to remind me its still there.

I meant insinuating that the WRX might look better to some people. ;)
Good one!

It was from a roll around 30 mph I didn't want to race him from a dig because he is awd of course and it was a 2016 WRX also he as a custom tune pushing 300 hp. I'm still on the stock clutch so that's why I haven't gone e blended or gotten a custom tune

I dunno about looking better. Looking better if i were a trekkie or liked anime.. perhaps.

@Jes What kind of tune did the wrx have, im assuming stg 2 at least but cobb ots or someone elses.. if you know.
I get it. Looking better is subjective but I personally don't care for the boxy Subaru look.

These cars are really closer than people think/the numbers suggests. Here is a couple of STOCK VS STOCK races I found on youtube a while back between a 2018 Si VS 2017 WRX from a dig in a track. Driver mod? Idk but im sure neither of these drivers are professional race car drivers plus the WRX driver has the AWD advantage and still..

Also the reason why it is so quiet is go pro issue

So am I.

The conventional wisdom seems to be that some of our clutches are strong and some are not.

Others think the guys with slipping clutches beat the crap outta their cars, especially by going WOT below 2500 rpm's and/or in 5th and 6th and/or before the clutch is fully engaged.

My advice: get the flex fuel, don't go WOT below 2500 rpm's, don't go go WOT in 5th and 6th, and don't go WOT before your clutch is fully engaged.

The Si driven right is a mid to high 14 second car. They claim to have pulled a 6.3 out of the Si coupe 0-60. They're not too far apart.

Si Coupe:
0-60 - 6.3
1/4 - 14.8 @96mph
Member here posted a video 14.5 stock unofficially

2019 WRX:
0-60 - 6.1
1/4 - 14.3

My guess is the the hp and tq of the WRX take over at higher speeds.

Take his advice. Dont go wot in 5/6th and even 4th may start slipping.. if you’re clutch isnt up to it.

Im still on a stock clutch on a different platform. Pushing 370whp/360wtq on e50. Clutch rated for 350chp, not one issue yet.

Out of curiosity, where are you getting the numbers for the WRX? I had a 2016 that I ran 13.9 bone stock(definitely no professional driver) and a 5-5.5 0-60. Not being argumentative at all, but those numbers seem closer to older wrx models. The newer 2.0 is pretty quick and you can do some excitingly violent launches.

Ah okay! That makes sense. The time just seemed a little high to me from my experience. It was a fun car, but they became incredibly common and the clutch was not friendly in traffic.
They perform well no doubt. Can't argue that. It's all a matter of preferences and finances.

Clutch sucks on oem tune so bad it was undrivable for me. Its due to throttle mapping being progressively aggressive vs linear.

I had it tuned stage 1 by 500mi to fix the undriveability due to jerkiness between 1-2 most specially.
