Seriously, this is fucking stupid. Extra downforce means extra grip without the momentum penalty. Extra downforce means I'm not getting actual lift at interstate speeds, which is what regular Civics get. I'll take it if it works.Well wang size is definitely a factor in how big the wing is but we won't go there lol.
But seriously , i was just commenting on his comment at face value of him saying its functional. My point is a could strap two box fans to the back that would be more functional for areo then that wing is.
Well here ya go car and driver quoting honda...https://www.caranddriver.com/featur...2017-honda-civic-type-rs-aero-bits-explained/ produces 66lbs at 124 mph... and if you just do some googleing you will.find most any wing on any car does not produce any effect till 80 to 100mph. So yeah ..um..suck it. And to throw it back at you...you think its a magic switch at 55 mph. Lol... wheres your proof? You a areo expert? Where is your wind tunnel? Or you just talking out your ass? dude go read up on areo. All wings are basically useless at street/highway speeds. There is countless articles to back me up...you?Seriously, this is fucking stupid. The wing is functional. Period. At 55+ mph, the aero is working. You think it's some switch that turns on at 90 mph, otherwise does nothing? Are you some sort of aero expert? You have wind tunnel data? Or are you just talking out your ass, per usual?
Just no.
Lmfao.InB4 two Type R Options:
One offering 223 HP and one offering 306. (one 1.5L and one 2.0L)
Lmfao.
1.5 will never happen because they’d have to make new spindles, driveshafts, and maybe a few other things to accommodate the brakes / different bolt pattern.
Does that mean it's ~33lbs at 62mph? Think you are not "thinking" about what you are posting as you are wrong on the aspect of the current spoiler. You just spit a lot of questions at someone but ultimately, you should provide the answers to all of those before stating "you will.find most any wing on any car does not produce any effect till 80 to 100mph."Well here ya go car and driver quoting honda...https://www.caranddriver.com/featur...2017-honda-civic-type-rs-aero-bits-explained/ produces 66lbs at 124 mph... and if you just do some googleing you will.find most any wing on any car does not produce any effect till 80 to 100mph. That's really only one data point though. Obviously we get a second one of 0 lbs @ 0 MPH. But besides that we have no other information to even begin to model how much downforce the car will produce at X MPH.Well here ya go car and driver quoting honda...https://www.caranddriver.com/featur...2017-honda-civic-type-rs-aero-bits-explained/ produces 66lbs at 124 mph... and if you just do some googleing you will.find most any wing on any car does not produce any effect till 80 to 100mph. Yall kill me, you say im wrong with no proof yet you say you are right with the same amount of no proof..lol. areo is not a constant. 66lbs at 124 does not equally divide and mean 33lbs at 62mph. I also never said it was unless at speed.. key word at speed. Yes on a track or going 80 plus miles an hour does it job. I said it was useless in daily everyday driving. Most interstates ( I know not all) are 65mph. Now what exactly is a wing doing you at 65 mph? or in city driving? when I think we can mostly agree wing effects(depending on car and wing surface and and angle) dont come into effect till around 60 to 80? So back to my original statement that everyone is so busy arguing they total overlook. The wing is useless in everyday driving.
Anyway believe what ya want there are literally hundreds of resources and forums that will tell you wings on everyday cars are for the most part useless and only for cars that track at high speeds. believe what ya want.
but just for fun here ya go read this.. https://www.theglobeandmail.com/glo...y-improve-a-cars-performance/article21180268/ its just one of many all over the net that tells you they are useless on everyday cars. you know how to google.. do it. LOL

Yes actually, lots. Wanna hang out? Im just not gonna take anyones uninformed attacks kindly. I respond in kind.Don’t usually like to criticize but, holy shit, are you ever abrasive... have much friends?
Downforce is proportionally equal to the square of an objects velocity. Don’t believe me, look at the equation for downforce.Yall kill me, you say im wrong with no proof yet you say you are right with the same amount of no proof..lol. areo is not a constant. 66lbs at 124 does not equally divide and mean 33lbs at 62mph.
