In case someone missed it: that CTR has the same new winglets/airfoils in the phony rear vents that have been added to the newly revealed 2020 Civic hatchback facelift, which leads me to think it's almost certainly a model coming for 2020:

The winglets just points to the hot mess down there even more, imo. And I’m a FK7 owner.

I was hoping Honda would’ve gone for a duckbill spoiler design like the many aftermarket ones I’ve seen.

I love the big spoiler and despise the look of this little wing. It looks like the spoiler that comes on the Si Sedan, which I also hated.

Little wing looks dumb on a Type R. Big wing really brings the back end together.

I look forward to trading my 20" stock wheels for 19" stock wheels.

I will buy the s@!& out of that wing for my civic hatchback sport as soon as it's released.

THAT's the wing we all want on the lower spoiler of our lower model hatchbacks.

What do you think the odds of getting Honda to let me purchase one? even though I don't own a Type-R so it won't be for replacement....

I think the additions to the fake vents didn't help. Now it's a busy mess. I'd definitely paint those black and then I think it would be a good addition.

Oh... and that small wing is awful on the Type R. The Type R needs the big wing to balance out the proportions and the over-the-top details... and this is coming from an old man! Big wing FTW!

I wouldnt expect the 3rd brake light piece on the hatch to be a good place to apply downforce tbh.
