What you get:
A low mileage, well-maintained Type R in Polished Metal Metallic. I drive this car about once every two weeks to run some errands.

With an addition to the family and some other lifestyle changes, I need something I will be more willing to drive my family around in Indiana weather on Indiana roads.

  • Never tracked or driven hard
  • Mostly stock
  • No smoking or pets
  • Never driven in snow
  • Always garaged
  • Food or drink was never allowed in the car

I have kept the car stock, with a few minor upgrades:
  • K&N air filter (stock one included)
  • Rally Armor mudflaps
  • Sequential LED side markers/turn indicators (stock markers included)
  • Removed the rea CIVIC badge

Factory upgrades:
  • Illuminated Type R door sill trim
  • Red illuminated feet wells
  • Red console illumination
  • All-season floor mats (stock Type R mats included, still in plastic)
  • Rubber cargo tray
  • Type R leather-wrapped shift knob (stock knob included)
  • Tinted windows

Photos are a couple months old, but nothing has changed since then. There is a loan on this car, so we would have to do the transaction at my local bank. No test drives without proof of payment and insurance. Thanks for looking!

Edited to add VIN if you want to look up vehicle history;

I sold my 18' PMM Type-R for $31k with 30k miles bone stock so yeah, I'd say with miles adjusted and upgrades you can't go wrong on this one.

I'd hold firm on that price and I'd post the VIN in case someone wants to run it's history.

Definitely firm on the price, as I tried to price it pretty aggressively. I’ll update the original post with the VIN, good point.

Giving it a bump. Got a trade-in offer for $34,000 which tells me this is a pretty great price. I’ll leave it up for about a week, and then I’ll consider taking them up on it.

The tax value of your trade in is almost $2400, right? Why would you pp sell it for $35k

To be honest, I need to do more research about how the taxes work.

Even though other sites were saying I should list closer to $37k, browsing around here and seeing some other cars not sell for that made me think I should price more aggressively from the get-go. It would be nice for the family to have a different car before winter gets too bad.

If you really received an offer of 34k, trade her in.

The tax savings is at least $2k.

It’s from a dealer in Chicago and I guess Illinois changed their trade-in tax law this year which makes it a little less favorable. Need to run the numbers with them to see how it’ll play out.

Keep in mind you pay taxes based on your zip code where the vehicle will be registered.

So the savings will be predicated on the sales tax you would be paying when you buy the new vehicle.

That clears it up a lot more. Thanks! Will be calling that dealer today to see if I can set something up.
