I’ve looked over the forums and saw some different suggestions on what exhaust to install on my si.

I was thinking Type R, considering the price and seems to be a pretty easy install.
Any suggestions?

I just picked up a thermal R&D exhaust. For my coupe! Comes with frontpipe and is sub 800. Sedans version on sale for sub 700 currently definitely insane quality for an amazing price right now they’re normally 1300

Could go to an exhaust shop and have the resonators taken out.

Remark or Skunk2 is probably your best bet. Unless you find something on sale as some pple have mentioned; they got a good deal.

I had the middle resonator and two mufflers taken off at a muffler shop, was $150
Easy and cheap option until I get a full exhaust

I kept reading people say the exhaust didn’t do much and i didn’t want to spend much. So I just got a catless downpipe from Megan and the noise is perfect for me.

Yeah it really helps. Just took this video of my stock exhaust with an aftermarket catted downpipe and one resonator removed. Sounds almost like an aftermarket exhaust.
I know this is a Type-r but you get the idea.

Sounds great, I.ove it. How much did you pay for the catted down pipe? and the installation and removal of the resonator ?

The downpipe was $650 and the res was removed by previous owner but I’m guessing it would cost about $50 to do something like that

@m_kluch

Which resonator did you remove? The bigger or smaller one.

The one closer to the muffler which is the larger one. Just had my wife drive the car down the road and back and I'm surprised how much of a difference the downpipe made in terms of how loud the exhaust is now.

The thermal system includes a frontpipe and is on sale for 40-50% off right now! Just threw mine on and I love it great system and at a great price right now. Normally 1300 now for less than 800
